My first attempt with a black canvas. Some, paint their canvas with (black) gesso. I opted to purchase one already 'gessoed'.

I painted the canvas just prior to beginning with Phthalo Blue. 

Then began, but it's not finished yet.

(Funny how paintings always end up differently then what was planned.)
